Have you guys spoken to the Seiko Boutique in London? Buying online from the far east isn't the only way...

The SARBs are Japanese market only AFAIK. Only way to get them here is grey market.

I saw an alpininist in the Seiko boutique in Amsterdam, I tried it on.

Just called Swiss Time Services about servicing my seamaster. They quoted £450. They say it will be as New after but the watch only cost me £220... Any other options I should consider?
Edit: I’m going to try this guy, he used to work at sts apparently.

Can anyone suggest a 2 piece strap that is like a perlon, but less flat?
As much as I like the texture and overall look on my skx013 its almost looks concave as it tapers down from the lugs/spring bars.
A Nato would be an obvious choice, but I feel the watch is too thick / sits too high as it is.
Helpfully it has 20mm lug width.
Cheers.

Red Army Watches and Gnomon are nice to visit if you're keen

I cut off the shorter second piece of a nato and that makes a noticeable difference with height on an SKX.

As in you made your own? Or did it with a two-piece Nato?
@aggi - cheers, that's a good shout.
Also came across these,Maratac Composite Elite:

(obvs no white piping as it looks a bit gash)...and while I was idly looking at workshop storage I came across this:

Isn't that the main benefit of a Nato though? As in it keeps the watch on your wrist in case you damage one of the pins.

A 3 ring ZULU doesn't have the 2nd piece of a 5 ring ZULU or NATO and will still provide the same security.
-
• #26171
It’s still a one piece strap so if a springbar breaks, you’re still fine. The shorter strap on a nato is more to stop the watch from sliding around which is never an issue.

Edit - never mind.

Gotcha!

Any suggestions to good London based watch shops, second-hand, vintage ... that kind.
I have a friend who is going to the central part of London soon and are looking to spend somewhere in the 1000-2000£ range
I'd been planning on getting an Alpinist for a while, appears they're all sold out now. Bugger.
