Shitty ten minute commute this morning.
Took ages to get kids ready for cold weather and onto the bikes. Big kid rode very slowly complaining of cold ears. Was late to school for the first time ever, causing the receipt of a late card which we had plans to avoid for her entire career.
Leave school and head to nursery, whilst little one bawls his eyes out about not wanting to go. Massive coughing fit with bogey, saliva and tear fountain chaser. Proper tantrum on the floor of nursery.
I am now relaxing and recuperating with a coffee in the rather lovely Brixton Blend.

Is that like one of those Costa loyalty cards? What do you get when you hit the 10 stamps?

Bits fell out of the middle of my lock yesterday meaning I was ready to go home but my bike was firmly locked in place. Lovely gents from facilities isolated the basement smoke alarms, fired up the angle grinder and had me on my way in 10mins. Quality service, shit decathlon lock.
Can't see how you could discretely steal a bike with an angle grinder!

I think it's more "children under 14 can't wear long trousers".
I hate school uniform.

In the basement bike racks of my old office, on Haymarket, there was an amazing 90s Serotta Colorado locked up and gathering dust that didn't move for the entire 18 months I worked there (and looked as though it had been there for at least another 18 months previous, judging by the level of dust on it).
Never worked out whose it was (lots of companies had space in the same building). If our facilities people had been as friendly as yours I'd pretty much come to the conclusion that it would be socially acceptable to have cut it free and had it on long-term loan by now... It was even in my size.

Future captains of the military-industrial complex need anachronistic character-building, duh, it's the English upperclass way. Next you'll be saying cricket is a fucking farce.

exactly there, I didn't ride through it because I was walking my bike from oval to clerkenwell because a fucking axle nut fell off.
the damage that could cause could potentially be in the thousands (tyre damage, new tubes, labour costs for casual riders who can't fix themselves) given how many people cycle through there each morning.

Not yet but going to drop a box off today.
Forgot my helmet and it turns out it stops cold air from going up into my beanie. coldears/10
