EDIT: We have since heard back from the original manufacturer, please ignore this post.
Hello everyone,
I think I've managed to cobble enough together now to do a proper update.
Despite our best efforts to contact the original manufacturer we have not had a response. They went quiet for a while until there were a couple of posts from them relating to a new batch of safety pizzas in production. I have had notifications set up for new posts from their account and one morning a I woke up having missed a post by them at 2am UK time announcing a new batch available for sale. This new batch sold out in less than 30 minutes. So, whilst we have not had a response about making a bulk purchase it's also proving very difficult to actually buy one of these individually when they rarely do go on sale, due to the difference in timezone / popularity of the product.
I attempted to work up a couple of options using alternatives including a 'safety kebab' and 'safety fries', quickly learning the simple overall geometry of the pizza as well as the various topping components is far less fiddly to design and subsequently make.
I think there are 2 potential options available to us moving forward:
Option 1: DIY! I can provide a stencil to print out as well as a how-to guide allowing you to make your own safety pizza(s) using simple hand tools only with self adhesive materials, as below:
2: BULK! A batch production of 100, it is an adaptation of the design above with professionally printed/cut self adhesive 'LFGSS' reflective stickers. I am not able to assemble a working prototype of this unfortunately as the minimum batch from the sticker supplier is 100 sets and they cannot provide a physical sample. The base, crust and eyelets would come pre-assembled, whilst it's up to you to place the self adhesive toppings.
Each pizza would be £12.50 (plus postage), £5 of each sale goes to the forum.
