    I making something similar to what you want for my partner, but in steel and for 26" wheels.
    I would not disregard steel. It is not necessarily heavier than off the peg alu things with stock componentry.
    How about vintage steel tourer with added disc tabs and custom forks? Might allow you to find suitable geometry as they are often custom to previous owner. IMO correct geo is more important than low weight

  • An ill-fitting Look made into a town bike. It’s too long and low at the front, a bit high at the back and much too flexy.
    She’s done fine on it for a year but in time for next winter I’d like to get her something proper, fat tyres, full guards, dyno lights. She’s interested in trying drop bars out too.

  • Vintage tends to be square and I was thinking more compact geo for standover with enough stack. Not against the idea but I just would have liked it to be cool and modern, tapered carbon forks etc.
    One of those curvy seat tubes you’ve done would look awesome on a tiny gravel shredder
