Still trying to figure out which bit to start on first.
Your social media #hastag so that us #dotwatchers can follow what's going on :)

Congrats to all, have fun!
It'll be strange to not be there this year but I'll watch the dots.
And it's not about the bike, just test everything, make sure it's reliable and comfortable.

I work out where else in Greece I want to go, then fly out of there a few days later. I mean, I rode to Greece ffs, I want to enjoy it! I went to Athens last year. Might head to an island or something this year. I know I will get there before the party so just make sure it's after that. If you have doubts about finishing then have an airline with a cheap alteration cost.

I’m just glad I’m not online to have to read it all.
Psychologist write books about people like you!‘And here you can see the subject beginning the irreversible mental breakdown...’

No Samuli storming up the field this year?

‘And here you can see the subject beginning the irreversible mental breakdown...’
They wrote that about me when I was six...

You love it anyway. The only reason you ride so fast is so you can catch a few days of me having a fucking online meltdown :)

Yeah I'll aim to destroy myself in NCTR earlier in the summer. And not enough time.

Eurostar to Brussels works well for getting out there
Cheers, looks like if I book now for the Saturday, I can get a bargainous £44 ticket. Short ride to the start too.
Pretty excited by this all TBH.
Need to work out an accommodation strategy too. Maybe bivvy bag combined with every few nights in hostels etc. You know you've become stuck in a corporate rut when then idea of sleeping in a Bosnian bus shelter sounds appealing! -
• #137
Croatia has got the best bus shelters, great big concrete bunkers with wooden park benches in them!
-
• #138
There is an excellent bus shelter in Kettlewell if you need a bit of practice.
-
• #139
Wrexham also has a bus shelter but it has dead crack heads so best avoid that . I will pray for the gooch once again and waste as much time following in work time .

Better pre-tape it up #goochtips

No need, I've got ISM to make me a more comfortable saddle...

This year is obviously different but at what stage in the past have they announced the exact location of the control points?
-
• #144
Aren't they already in the manual?
-
• #145
Err, so are the end parcours coordinates the exact location where you get your stamp?
Just says TBC where you'd expect to see the coordinates I think. -
• #146
I don't have the manual handy so I don't know. If there's a TBC then... patience. You will be emailed when (most) stuff happens. It's different this year with Mike gone and a new team, etc.
-
• #147
The manual pretty much covers the locations already. They might not have finalised which hotel/cafe they will be using for one or two yet but that will all come out in an updated version nearer the time
Sometimes it's not clear which end of the parcours you will get your stamp. Usually it is obvious as one end is a hotel and the other is the top of a mountain. Sometimes you have to do something at the other end as well, like check in with someone somewhere, but the details on that tend to be a bit hazy, IME.

Yeah, I got a spot.
Top news for the dot/tweet-watching public.

Bad news for my arse.
Yeah, I got a spot.
Can you imagine the orgs putting up with "the most prolific in-race tweeter" spending 2-weeks tweeting about not being in the race? :)
