  • I've read that it more broadly favours the type of "intelligence" to do with abstract reasoning that you get from living with technology and having jobs that require quantitative analysis rather than physical labour and interaction with the natural environment, hence favouring more technologically advanced societies. I don't know whether there's empirical evidence that this has been used for nefarious discriminatory ends but I guess that's the implication.
