  • Alfa Romeo title sponsor of Sauber and Kubica looking like he's getting a drive at Williams.

    Today is a good day.

  • Rule #1. Never read the comments.

  • If I can’t wank to F1 then what’s the point of life?

  • Would have been the last year for me anyway as i aint paying Sky and it seems the Sky deal is pretty much written in stone that no free-to-air is in anyway possible....

  • Three fucking thousand comments... (and counting) FFS

  • Agh, I got sucked in and read some comments. What have I done!!!

  • "Charlotte Gash"

    What? What?

  • BBC comments section, the gift that keeps on giving:

  • We are prisoners of insecure film producers et al and really a world that is spinning in the wrong direction. If ANYBODY is being harmed, against their will........

He makes a good point, though.

  • not enjoying the new F1 car releases -- halo looks ugly as does all the winglets and fliplets everywhere....best color scheme so far is the "special edition" RBR.

note the lack of sponsors on the AR Sauber....

the indy aerosheild and car designs on the other hand look pretty nice. as does the FE next gen car.

  • best color scheme so far is the "special edition" RBR.

The one where the lazy livery designer took a perfectly good blue-blue fade and JPEG'd it 10 times?

  • it was designed to stop high powered telephone digital lenses to see the designs of the little fliplets all over it (seriously!)

  • By putting what looks like a non-repeating angular pattern on it, they've made it easier for other teams reverse-engineer the geometry of the body by generating a point cloud from sets of photos taken from slightly different angles. A basic fade or a flat colour would have been more effective.

  • Should have used vantablack.

  • Red Bull is by far the most barmy so far. I really like it.

Sauber and Haas look good. For the teams at the back of the field with the small budgets, they look like interesting aero development.

    Williams, no real opinion.

Renault looks really disappointing and their aero looks particularly simplistic, almost backward. There are metal fixings all over the place where, by this point, ought to be carbon. Visible gaps in the panels which will disrupt aero. It's a mess. I hope their final car isn't like that.

I'm looking forward to see what Mercedes and Ferrari come up with, also to see what McLaren have done packaging the Renault engine compared to Red Bull. Assuming it is actually a Renault unit in the Red Bull - I don't think I've actually seen it confirmed anywhere!

  • Assuming it is actually a Renault unit in the Red Bull

It is, Tag branded. I've seen it confirmed a few times.

  • Riccardio crashed it already

  • The 2017 RB livery was probably my fave in years from any team, that deep navy with the flouro coral was lovely, I was even sold on the matte.

  • The new McLaren...

  • The floor slots are interesting!

  • in the gravel this morning... lost a rear wheel. They didnt know if it was cause or effect of the crash
