Insurance?

Morning all, to use modern vernacular- ‘is watch insurance a thing?’
-
• #26090
My Hiscox insurance has a line for "watch collection", which I do actually need to update.

That blows, hopefully home insurance will come good.

‘is watch insurance a thing?’
We have to list any jewellery or watches over £1.5k on our household policy, we’re then covered out and about or abroad.
Sadly i haven’t met this threshold unlike my betterhalf :/ -

Ours is the same but I was wondering about an expensive watch which gets lost/stolen outside the home.

You should be able to include that but will be separate again and have to name the items

For some reason I thought people on this thread might appreciate this complicated 'movement'

You are right. One of those things which is easy to put off and very costly if you don’t. My wife’s jewellery and watch need added.

Anyone interested in purchasing my Steinhart Ocean One ceramic (42mm)?
Just bought the 39mm to better suit my puny wrists...
They're £375 ish new (depending on exchange rate). Mine is boxed with all original things. The tiny prong on the clasp has broken (common on older bracelets) but the clasp still holds very firm.
Shall we say £200? That's £100 less than they go for on eBay...

just wanted to say thanks for prompting me to get my insurance and security sorted out. I know it's no consolation for the stuff that you've lost but hopefully you might feel just a little better knowing that I'm grateful for the call to action. Hope your stuff turns up soon and the insurance payout covers a vintage panerai x
