If your culture has deemed this to be OK and you feel that it's acceptable then go ahead. Though culture can change and you may be called out on it by your daughter (she may grow up and not be too pleased with her folks imposing their image of femininity on her).
Culture is separate from religion but it should still be called out upon when it is realised that it is doing something wrong (FGM is cultural in some societies and slavery was once acceptable to many).

No not pierced ears. It’s purely aesthetic, plastic surgery to make her ear more “normal” looking due to a haemangioma.
My point is parents do what they think is right and best for their kids on the whole within cultural and societal norms which of course change.To me a ban seems worse than better regulation and safer practices.
