  • Maybe he wanted a more 'chuckable' bike...

  • I guess the upside is that he can upgrade to the new Synapse frame

  • Dibs if splitting on the spacer stack

  • Can’t really bring myself to disagree with comments, as said the poorly angled photo does make the bike look worse than it actually is. I’m 6’1 which is the upper limit of size 56, as photographed the post is at its upper limit, not above as photo would suggest. Bike is from 2016, some calculations may be required as to how much sizing up is likely to cost me.....

  • You must have long legs. I’m 6”1 or just over and would have about 22cm post out of the frame but the stem slammed.

  • For slopestyle/ freeride? Surely road bikes should just fit...

    I'm 187cm and happily rode a 56cm CAAD12.

  • I'm in that ballpark, riding the very same caad12

Horizontal top tube though. Synapse has something like 50 or 51cm seat tube in a 56

  • Just measured via a biro mark on wall and tape measure and I’m 187 in a pair of new balance, guess it’s about more than just height and leg length obviously plays a large part. A thorough test ride will confirm the size of my next bike but interesting to hear the caad12 may size up slightly bigger, I’d had more than a glance in that direction previously and probably will again this time.

  • I suspect they didn't think potential Synapse owners would 'size down' as you might do with an out and out road bike.

  • ‘chuckable’

At the Evans employee. Chainring first. With a frozen turd hammered into the cracked seat tube.

  • do you have the longest limbs ever @CptnBigNose ?

  • Think this is about 74cm to the rails from the BB centre on a 56cm caad12

  • Nose and legs (it would appear) only unfortunately.

  • Which just goes to show that people of similar heights have different proportions.

I’m 1 m 83 cm and have a saddle height of 803 mm from the centre of the bb to the top of saddle.

  • Exactly. Big nose must be all legs! Think mine comes out to 78 or 79cm to the top

  • If the bike was from Evans can you not take it back?

  • not if it's 3 years old

  • Get a longer stem. Flip it and cut the steerer. Get a 4000000mm seatpost (of reputable brand) and ride it?

  • I am 178cm and still have my saddle at 79cm (C-T) but on a 54cm with a 130 stem because i'm all arms and legs

  • Anyone have an SISL2 or SI 170mm chainset going spare?

  • I’ve got this

Threads for crank puller on one side are a bit cross threaded. This is a different thread than the one that actually fits the cranks together which is perfect so only a problem when comes to removal.
Will be ebaying soon but would like 150

  • 1976? Didn't think you were that old

  • It doesn't say 1976
