Minouras are good but so heavy.

Minouras seem a little pricey. Will keep an eye out for a second hand one though. The bike it's for is a total tank so the weight isn't too important.

Debatable ... but also an aside.
You'd choose a road-like position when you're doing road-like riding. It really is that simple. Big tyres don't just work well on terrain that requires sharp changes of direction, but also open, stony tracks (like those pictured). These tracks have long climbs and descents just as you would on a paved road - for which drops are good.

Drop bar debate aside the bars on that Crust look ridiculously low, especially for a drop bar setup

Bar angle is off, but this one is quite a lot nicer looking than the Ultra-'gram-mobile imo.

Wald are working with Restrap to do some new basket bags, if you’re not in a massive rush you could wait for them.
-
• #17994
Do you know the likely £?
-
• #17995
Should be £45-70 depending on size. There will be small, medium and large. Will be one to suit the majority of the baskets they do.
Nathan (Mr Restrap) says he’ll send me a sneak preview tomorrow.

That's pretty goddamn reasonable
-
• #17997
Yes sounds good. Any idea how long it'll be before these are out?
-
• #17998
They're just finalising designs, then Wald have to sign off on everything before production starts. Restrap are aiming for them to be available in April. Could be earlier, could be later.

Cheers, look forward to seeing these

Although, the minoura gamoh porteur ticks all the boxes, mega sturdy and good quality. I would do that. Mine has taken a right hammering.
