Macedonia was where I ran out of water on some fucking dirt track in 40+. That was fun. Reminded me of home.

Well that's something to reminisce with warmth, as these days I'm thristy on a ride mostly because the bottles are frozen.

I hate the cold. TransAm was fucking miserable in the mountains. I don't envy your conditions. I do envy the option to ride tyres with spikes in them though :)

I should really do a brain dump and ask all my questions at the same time.
Do they have a track pump at the checkpoints?!?

I can't remember if there was a pump to be honest. It's available to all racers so shouldn't be too much of an issue but it could be argued that it's non-commercial assistance. Why does it matter? You'll be carrying a pump.

Dopends. But don’t bank on it. The lezyne sponsors cp had one last year.

They normally don't, I was hoping for one in 2016 when I had tyre issues and they didn't have one.
The controls are really just someone sitting at a table in a cafe stamping cards. If a sponsor does more than that it's a bonus

I got a ticket from the waiting list for the Rapha "Explore" event tonight. I'm ready for @skinny 's stories to terrify this newbie waiting for their ballot result.

Does this belong to anyone on here? Turned up at work a few months ago. Smells a bit ultra cycling like. Supernova, sinwave, clip on aero bars, fuel cell etc. Appears to be JLT Condor team issue. It's lovely.

Don't recognise it. Could be an audaxer - quite a few use Condor frames (Fratello?) and have that type of gear.
