  • Ate 800 calories over yesterday and lots of carbs. Only 200 grams, so 50 grams of carbs with 150 grams of carbswater heavier. Metabolism be weird.

    Same here. Had four of 'em with maple syrup, cinnamon and lemon. Quite eggy batter, though, and cooked using clarified butter so not totally devoid of nutritional value.

    The nutella came out. And the cheese. And the ham. Never tried lemon, sounds good.

  • They were greek yoghurt pancakes with cinnamon, some prosecco caramel sauce stuff and buckwud syrup. They were lovely. The salad had some dressing on it that the sister-in-law-ish made and was also very nice.

  • Dressing really makes the salad. Ceasar salad dressing with real parmesan and anchovies in it...nom nom nom.

    Not very waistline friendly though :)

  • Decided to have a low carb day, dinner was carrots and 500g of pressure cooked leg of lamb.
    Slight overcompensation with protein I think...

  • Most studies I've seen have it around 25-30g per meal of protein is used for muscle synthesis and the rest goes to glucose and fat. It was after reading one of these studies (maybe Graeme Close posted it on twitter) that I switched to increase protein at breakfast. I used to basically have carbs only (save for a bit of milk or PB), like most people but now include a decent amount of protein at brekkie lunch and dinner.
    Getting some protein in just before you go to bed was found to help too.
