  • advice please - only just back on a board after a bajillion years. I'm finding these 52mm / 99a wheels a bit too much of a young man's game. I'm thinking of picking up some 54mm ricta clouds to handle my local torn up concrete skatepark with a little more grace. Any other softer wheels at that size I should be considering?

  • Have skated Ricta Clouds since 2006 or so; the 78a are best for cruising/filming since they don’t really slide well - I’ve ripped ones off the core before - but soak up the rough; if you’re skating park/general stuff I’d go for the 86a ones. Got a set of them at the mo and they’re a good compromise if 99a are too hard for you. Haven’t tried the 92a ones as yet but next on the list.

  • Ah cheers - that’s useful. I think I might pick up some 55mm 86a clouds - saw some cheap somewhere.

@TheSadR yeah I used to skate spitfires a lot. Although more like 50mm as was the fashion in those days :-)
