• Two bikes.

Bike A and Bike B, Bike A is the "race bike", Bike B is "endurance/MAMIL"

    Bike A Stack 546 Reach 385
    Bike B Stack 557 Reach 376

I prefer Bike B's numbers and even if I get Bike A I will replicate those with bar/stem/spacers.
Interestingly Bike B has shorter wheelbase (lol) because of shorter TT.

How can I interpret the diff in the two geometries into ride quality?

You can't ride a race bike with a baby-sized stem, that's just wrong. So get bike B (the shorter reach).

Also is 5mm difference in wheelbase really going to be perceptible?

Who knows! Its weird that canyon did it the other way round hence the question.

The 'race' bike would have to be 100mm 'stem' with the aerocockpit, the 'endurance' will be 110mm.
