Have a friend over from the US and wish to impress her with some proper ale. Seems they can't get live beer there

Very tasty, puddingy. Kinda wishing I'd let it age a few years.... will see if it's still available at lbs.

Back to 3 for fiver Old Tom when I get paid Monday.

Been invigilating exams all week, and at lunchtime have been going for a walk and having a civilised pint with my sandwiches at one of the many GBG-listed pubs near the university. Today I had a half of the Sarah Hughes Brewery's barley wine 'Snowflake Winter Warmer', and it was delicious: vinous, rich, and sweet. Sat next to the roaring fire with a book, it was one of those perfect pub moments.

Pricey but epic I'm going to have another half.

I recently drove over to Brussels with the wife for a short weekend trip. The Cantillon brewery was the main destination, the Fou Foune being a particular highlight.

The Tiny Rebel Imperial Puft is a bit of alright.

Cheap even in a Brewdog bar.

I think that was what I just had at the finish of the Boat Trip 200 audax. I basically necked it so don't recall much in the way of flavour profile :)

Drinking a Goose island Lolita. Absolutely delicious, their mixed ferm range is hard to get here but Water into Beer have the 750ml bottles for the ridiculous price of £6 each. Bargain.
