- Push valve through the tape
- Most of the time: No. Even an airline isn't enough a lot of times..

Cool, that means that taping at work with their tape wasn't a waste of time and I've had a look in my spare tubes tub and I have couple 26" road tubes with removable cores so if I have to, I can kill one of them and take its valve.

G ones. got them on three bikes. love them.

What are they like in the rain and wet on road?
I'm not planning on going exploring the floor and it's microenvironment. -
• #1831
But you might learn things!
I've pushed them pretty hard in all sorts of weathers and terrains. They instill a lot of confidence. Touring on them fully loaded in the wet down some big fuck off hills and I didn't die.
YMMV etc

G one speed?

• #1833
Can't remember. they've chenged the name and I've got confused. I've used whichever the 30c one is and loved it. As well as the 35 and the 40.
A quick google suggest the speed is the one

Yes I did tubeless Hypers in 38c. Really good, but not easy to seat.
Do have 30mm S-Ones too, faster and easier to work with than the hypers, but not as cheap, durable or wide. -

Like the @cycleclinic 's demo of caffelatex and worms. However A) could have done with holding the phone the right way round, and a lot closer to the tyre - no need to frame the whole guy all the time and B) a couple of very-close-ups of what you were doing with the worm/applicator before and during insertion wouldn't have hurt. I can't see what you're doing at all. Less gabbling about your injuries and show more please.
But overall a helpful sales pitch/instructional. Off to buy some flexy
superglue. Can anyone tell me why you'd stick a great long worm in if the ends are then sticking way out? Couldn't you cut them shorter? I think I'll have to carry some nail clippers for trimming worm ends if was riding a bit far from home.Yours sincerely,

IME the worms are a get-you-home option; on MTB tyres it doesn't matter that the worms poke out, as the knobbly tyre bits compensate for the protrusion, but on a road tyre you really fucking notice it, regardless of the pressure. In a perfect world you can cut them so they're just sticking out (they flatten over time and go hard, once you've doused them in solution), but you have to get a good sharp blade because it's quite easy to accidentally pull the worm back out.
Oh, and like a previous poster suggested, you can trim them vertically and horizontally because the size they come in is often far larger than is required to fill the hole.

Thanks for further info. So nail clippers might well be useful- sharp and accurate, no pulling on the worm.

Yeah, they would be perfect.

Or a razor blade
I have an Mtb worm set that came with a little sharp blade for removing excess worm -

I have g one speed on Isen biek
Seem v grippy on road and no problems in the wet. -

nail clippers
Genius!
Certainly preferable to carrying a knife around.

Indeed. Already my repair kit looks more like something a Guantanamo Bay interrogator would use. And those blades go blunt over time.

First tubeless puncture this morning. I;d bought one of those worm kits yesterday but wasn't carrying it, luckily it sealed itself up.

A proper video is being shot tomorrow by someone who does videos and photos for the army. Got to remember my dad shot that video. Me and my dad have never been good a video's.
I trim the ends of the worms of when I get back. the less I can put in my back pocket the better.

I have had worms sticking out of my road tyres and I did not notice. also had those worms in for 1000km so they got me home more than few times.
The worms have to larger than the hole they are filling or they get pushed pushed out.

I've found worms from motorbike kits to be really sticky and bed down really quickly. Only happened on that by chance when I was carrying the motorbike kit in a frame bag and needed repair.

Joined the club, Hutchinson Sector 28’s arrived today. Seem quite glossy. Have heard others lightly sanding them prior to use, is this a real thing??
