A1 wasn't closed to cyclists. What happened was that lights were put on the black cat roundabout which made the F1/25 and F1/100 courses not viable. But they still use the F1b which goes south, up the hill past the water tower. And if you wanted, you could still cycle the old course.
Banning bikes from any roads is a dangerous precedent and should be opposed vigorously as once they've done it once they will keep on doing it. I'll be writing a letter. -

Ah my mistake. Thanks for clearing that up.
In that case, writing a letter.
I need to go sub 18 somehow ;)

So, is anyone else doing Ely Hardriders next weekend? I am, but it's my club, so I either have to compete or do marshaling duties, and I reckon the former is marginally better.

This is a bit weird, missing lots off the frame. And seller can workout himself that it’s a 56.
Tempted to have a punt.

I'd run a mile. Good luck finding all those bits.

• #16957
Well for sure if it goes for big money, but it might go cheap.
Really you only need seatpost. And there is one on eBay.

Here's the new P4 he just sold.
What a doughnut.

Anyone got clipons for sale?
-
• #16960
Only strapons.

• #16961
clipons for sale?
What sort of stack/reach relative to the base bar are you after?
-
• #16962
Don't really know tbh. It's for this audax stuff so not too much stack and not too much reach probably?
-
• #16963
I bought Chinese crabon to get low stack over road bars, these exact ones are out of stock but you can get the same mould from other shops on amazon/ebay/aliexpress, I only paid £16

Seen these on an ultra/audax guy preparing for LEL (on an otherwise slave Concorde of all things). Looked perfect.

I've got a set of 3T Clip-On Pros
Bought in the Autumn and used 2 or 3 times: didn't like them but others do. -
• #16966
Question: are these the same as the popular PDQ aerobars? They look v.v.similar...

I've got a set of 3T Clip-On Pros
Are they with the weird 'comfort' bend - Do gear cables route ok through those?
-
• #16969
Yes.
You can also buy them from source to save money.
It's a Dengfu HB086 with the spacer stack from the HB069.
Also very similar to Hongfu HF-HB029. -
• #16970
Cheers. Am I right in thinking the lay up would be the same or is it just the design?
Think I may wait until PX have them on sale again (warranty) -
• #16971
What was the sale price?
-
• #16972
I can remember seeing them as low as £160 (?) - Don't quote me on that
-
• #16973
I believe they're from the same factory, but no way of knowing for sure, I guess.
Perhaps the reason Dengfu don't sell HB086 with the spacer stack design from their HB069 is because that spec. is licensed to PX, PDQ, etc... Oooh speculation!
PX were selling them for £144 (I saw wiv me own eyz) for the first few days of their Fibonacci sale in September/October, before presumably realising their mistake and bumping them back up to something like £233.
Nice to have a warranty anyway. -

The Office of the Director,
Operations Directorate (Yorkshire & North East),
Highways England,
3rd Floor South, Lateral,
8 City Walk,
Leeds,
LS11 9ATRE: The A63 Trunk Road (North Cave Interchange to Daltry Street Interchange) (Prohibition of Cyclists Order)
To Whom It May Concern,
I write to object to the above proposed TRO. Please respond confirming you have received this objection and respond to the issues I have raised below. Additionally, please inform me of the outcome of this consultation and of any future amendments to this proposal.
Grounds of my objections include:
Discouraging healthy, safe travel in favour of dangerous, polluting, car travel.
6 accidents involving cyclists in a period of 5 years is very low. Why is it proposed to impose a ban on cyclists? Significantly more accidents involving motor vehicles have occurred over the same period (nearly 300!) so why is it considered that a ban on cyclists is proportionate?
The quoted statistics of 6 accidents involving cyclists over a 5 year period are not statistically significant. How do the statistics quoted compare against collision statistics for other similar type A roads? Is a similar type proposal (for a TRO) to be made in respect of those other A roads? This would imply setting a dangerous victim-blaming precedent for many safe cycling roads.
Bicycles pose the lowest risk of all vehicles types on the highway, due to their lower speeds and mass. Please could you explain why such a low figure can be treated by Highways England as justification to ban bicycles on this stretch of road?
I do not consider that a ban on cyclists on this stretch of road is a proportionate response bearing in mind the statistics quoted. What alternative measures have been considered?
Kind Regards,

This made it onto the news on Radio 4 last night: TT has come of (middle) age!
Not all of it. Just bits of it. Mostly only the A1(M) sections, I believe.
