How'd you fit the spring clip on the ConneX chain? I did that on my Pompino but it said ping at the clip and the chain broke in two when force was put on it.
I didn't die, so that's a plus.
But how?

Fit the closed end of the clip on a pin and position the open end over the other pin.
Place a thumb on each pin and bend the chain away from you (push with your thumbs away from you and bring your hands towards you): this decreases the effective distance between the pins and the clip will fit.

It's a bit anti but it's how the gf/boss wanted. She didn't want a smaller frame, loving the colour of this one (and the shiny campag parts) and hating the saddle/bar drop on a correct fit. Got some ergo shifters today to replace the horrid sunsomething friction suicides on the downtube. Shifting isn't perfect and the spare piece of cable outer was too short for two cables so they're pretty tight on the bar when turning.
Considering how it looked when we got it, at least it works now. Originally the brakes were badly positioned and pads at dodgy angles, gear cables loose and frayed, brake outers too long and original aero levers in rough condition. Needs a few new bits like a better cassette and a smaller little ring, but for a runaround it should do.

Decent! My CAAD7 is 7.15 with pedals, wahoo mount etc. Looking to get down to 6.8. Never had a light bike before, itβs quick!

Went out for a frame bag, got a decent 35 mile ride in too.
Fitted some 165mm odi hucker grips the other day as the federal were too thin.

New track machine. There's still some bits and pieces that needs to be replaced, but overall pretty happy with the result. 8,2kg in total

Are you sure that's a Zaskar? Internet sez no (curved end plate on the top tube). Should still scrub up well though - have fun.
Edit -- ignore the above; apparently the later ones made in Taiwan around the turn of the century had that end cap.

Finally built my CAAD 8 up solely using the spare parts bin and a nice wheelset i had lying around. Liking it more than i thought i would (hence why it's been unbuilt for 2 years), 17 degree stem is a bit try hard and doesn't do my handlebar bag any favours so may get swapped for a 7 that'll be a closer match for the toptube angle. Not sure on the silver/grey post, it matches the Sram ring nicely but i have a black C2 post i may use instead.
Looking really really good dude.
