That's my home! The Hot Springs Trail those pictures are from would be great, I've spent at lot of time around the Ketchum and Stanley area though I'm from SE Idaho. Anyone who fancies that drop me a line, you can stay with my parents (pending approval).

I always fancied this actually, and then do the Hiawatha trail. Dunno about all that wild shit, I had some bear experiences which permanently unnerved me.

Yeah Idaho is sort of the forgotten gem of the west. It's fucking huge and mostly empty, so the rednecks are fewer and farther between. It's not cool yet I don't think, but it's easily as nice as Montana, and nicer than Wyoming (as eastern Wyoming is bleak).

My parents did a hot springs trip round Idaho many years ago. They raved about the whole experience.

I got real drunk at a "hipster" bar in Laramie once, which was a lot of fun. It's a desolate area but it has its own beauty. It would be boring to bike around though.
