Anyone else caught in the 1functionalbike conundrum?
Got that 1 big tyred bike, and obviously it's chill and comfy so you commute on it, but you live in the UK, so mudguards are an absolute requirement, losing that clean, knobby tyred look, and adding fear of death by twigs and leaves when going even slightly off the beaten track.
I usually just decide that if I'm going off-road I'm going to be filthy anyway, so there's no point having the mud-guards or trying to get away with wearing normal clothes. Depends how easy it is to remove your mudguards though.
