Its been a work horse but its coming to near it end of life as its just come up with service battery. TBH i wont be spending any more on it but will keep using it till I find a good replacement.
Id love a 18 macbook pro 15" but at nearly 3k fully loaded I won't be buying one of them rn.

Hi Guys,
Would really appreciate your help here.
Recently had a new ultrawide monitor supplied by work and have plugged it into my Macbook Air, at which point the aspect on the Macbook display changes but i see nothing on the secondary monitor.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks

Have you tried changing the settings in System Preferences - Displays, you should then have 2 window, each representing each screen and you should be able to adjust the aspect ration independently.

I’m tempted to get an HomePod or two. Anyone know if it’ll work with Spotify? Don’t meet voice command, airplay or Bluetooth will be enough

Siri doesnt so i imagine not

I have zero interest in Siri. All I want is a wireless speaker. Isn’t it even that?

Fingers crossed for a 3.5mm input jack then...

Get a sonos

Not sold on the Sonos. Only used it a few times, but the systems I've listened to are miles away from the Beolit 15 we have now
Reasons for getting the Homepods would be mainly aesthetic. I like to sound of the Beolit, but much prefer the looks of the Homepod. One of them in the kitchen, two in the living room, and we should have a great sounding system that you would barely see.

yo - if you don't end up taking it I'd greatly appreciate it (if you're in london)

Doesn’t work with Spotify as far as I know.

No worries :-)

My turn to get on the apple-is-shit-due-to-not-meeting-my-specific-demands train.
But seriously, that's a bit silly isn't it? How many potential buyers do they alienate with that? There's not much friction in getting a new speaker setup, but changing from Spotify to Apple Music is a pain in the ass, even if every single song I want to listen on is on both platforms.
Also... radio?

Yeah agree... I think this is a bit them cutting off their nose to spite their face situation... obviously they dont want to support competitors but so many people use Spotify I think its the wrong decision here for sure. Google gubbins with Spotify works great, and im actually more tempted to buy one of their speakers.
Radio wise, iTunes has all (I think) the radio stations on it, and I assume they work via Siri.

Yeah just checked, radio is there in Apple music.
Beoplay M5 looks very similar and if it sounds as good as the Beolit 15 it's tempting. Almost twice the price of the Homepod though

I'm a big fan of B&O stuff and have a few bits myself but without a smart assistant (it doesnt have one right?) I would not consider purchasing any wireless speaker. I wasn't interested in them until I bought a google one for my little sis and we played about with it over Christmas, being able to just say "hey Google, play party mega mix playlist" rather than dig out your phone, open and app, navigate, press play, select Airplay/Stream made the later feel archaic.
I'm not buying an Apple speaker because my wife uses Spotify...
