thanks mate, fun little project!

• #2161
How does it ride....
-
• #2162
hmm, just had short quick testride and it feels pretty wierd with freewheel and that steep fork, i guess i get used to it when i take a longer ride.
pretty tempted to put a dropbar on it.. hmm

• #2163
Fair enough, get used to it, it'll be fun, stick on that bar more relaxing

I’ve got a Korean Keirin frame that I ran with cut down on one
mungofleegle bars (a bit narrower and much less swept). That worked well. Sweep n steep head angle feels sketchy at speed. -

Do it... the nagasawa street racer was one of my favourite builds on this forum.....ever, with gears it makes even more sense.
-
• #2167
i know steep angles very well, just a different feeling with freewhel :)
this one is pretty steep with this fork.
@AlphaOmega yeah i know, i just think it would lood really rad with a compact 26.0 and that geo!

If you want to alter the speed at which the bike feels good tweak trail (which means new forks) or leverage/weight through the bars (easier to change).
Bike looks grand btw.

What i’m failing to explain is high, swept bars feel relaxed at low speeds and shit at high speeds and njs geo feels the opposite: unstable at low speed but very stable at high speed.
Getting the two working together might take some playing.

Anyone got a 54cm> njs frame/frameset going? The rattier the better.

Quick question and figured here was best place to ask. Building up my Samson and looking at clips and straps. A lot of the double straps look really good, but can’t seem to find an njs approved double strap toeclip.. have a set of the mks double strap clips on another bike and although “built to njs standards” they aren’t actually njs approved..? Any ideas?
-
• #2172
not so important to go full njs...
-
• #2173
Yeah you’re probably right, but I’m now more just wondering is there such a thing? There must be if they’re selling njs double straps surely?
-
• #2174
fair, straps they do have, all you just need, ££money ££

Looking great... mount the old gear lever on the down tube?
