I'm interested in this, not out of choice but by going for a slightly smaller frame than usual due to lead times and using Stack and Reach to get the same geo. Means almost the full 400mm of seatpost which looks a bit ridiculous.

Yeah, right? I'm not talking about what's just been posted, more like this
I don't mmind the look, but why not go towards something bigger (although in this case it IS a parts bin build)

@mdcc_tester has the 5:1 top tube:stem ratio as an approximate rule of thumb.

A larger frame would have had too high a stack and led me to have a short stem on this bike and the bars still need to come lower.
