I noticed that a lot of recent build seem to have both long stems, a fair few spacers, and very long seatposts, and that is on compact and traditional geos. That would be fine on "Parts Bin" bikes, but I feel I see that a lot here.
I'm thinking of building a new comuter to give the GT Force better/lighter components, and I'm toying with the idea of going 52/53 frame instead of a 54/55. As it is, while my 54 GT Force suits me quite well, I only have 15/18cm of the seatpost sticking out and I had to put 250mm worth of spacers for the bike to be comfy...
Is there any reason, other than aesthetics, to go for a smaller frame?
Is it just cognitive bias, and there aren't much of these configs on lufguss?
