Update on my 'old man learns to skate again'
3ft and 4ft quarterpipes are being dropped in on. I'm not sure I ever did this when I was a kid (no skateparks back then) but I'm enjoying the fear/adrenaline.
Working on my rock to fakie, kick turns etc, just real basic stuff. My ollie needs a LOT of work to be halfway functional again.
I'm skating on weekend mornings, and my peers at the skatepark are the parents of the 4yos on scooters. Everyone assume a dude in his mid 30s hanging around the ramps is going to be good, so it's a disappointment to everyone to see I'm terrible.
It's fun though. I recommend to everyone who used to do it as a teenager. I'm already replacing bearings and thinking about wheel upgrades.
