No way, Hans Rey, surely?

I'd love a sticker of Hans Rey for my bike. Might make a run. Do you think others would be interested? Maybe an illustration of him.

“Hans Rey says cantis are OH KAY!” ?!
I don’t know how universal Hans appreciation is.

That’s great!
I’m not worried about universal appeal, it’s just for the geeks. -

Funny that your average 12-year-old BMX kid could do a fair proportion of that stuff these days. The bunny hops especially.

Anyone posted @TomvanHalen Saracen? That bike pains me. He builds a lot of killer retro stuff.

Yeah the evolution of a sport I guess. It's the same when I watch skateboard videos from the 90s

First mtb was an Emelle, steel everything, dizzy heights of 15 gears.
Bought my first proper one in 1997, a Saracen LE, a spendy for then £325 for a rigid 7005 Alu frame with a steel fork, 21 gears, the LE tag, or limited edition i concluded back then equated to Saracen have a stock take on parts in the warehouse and knocking up the LE's to use stock :)
Can't find a photo but found the catalogue on Retrobike :)

Still got the bar ends from 97.
Some spangly bolts.
Anti chainsuck plate.
X-lite clickon post, bent it badly, cut it right down, then knocked the guts out to see how the thing worked.
And this should date the USE seatpost. I have a 28.6mm shim so that was for the Saracen, so I must have got the post very late 97 or in 98, got another shim in 30.9 that was for the Specialized Rockhopper I had next, must have had the LE for 5 years or so.
Can still get rebuild kits for the old USE XCR post so might have to bring it back to life again.......

Been working on these today. Need another fork for the Saracen and some more bad weather to complete both.

Shit...didn't know you had that big a fetish! That Konda is FIRE! One day I'll build an Explosif in race spec. XTR, SUP Rims, 90's snapaliscious carbonz and then buy some mirrored shades to roll down to the Co-op with.

Had a 1991 cro-mega lx a while ago, rides quite lively, rear is ridiculously short (also have an al-mega frame that I planned on building up sometimes)
