  • Can u fit a alfine 8 on these frames?

  • MK1s were 135mm spaced so will take an Alfine, mk2 onwards are 120mm so no.

  • .

  • I don't think 37 will fit. I thought the next size up from 35 was 38?

  • Any Pompetamine owners who knows if a studded 35c will fit? No fenders needed since I use this one

Edit: Studded 35’s (Schwalbe Winter) fit fine with clearence left for snow.
Edit 2: Even 40mm CX tires fit (Schwalbe CX Comp 622-40) But itΒ΄s tight, with just a mm left for snow and mud.

  • Just finished putting this together. I wish I had discovered Pomps earlier, so much fun to ride.

Need to change the chainring though, bit beefy for town riding

  • That's neat!

  • Nice proportions and colour combo

  • I may be after a large v4 pomp if anyone has one going for a fair price!

  • That looks ace.

  • I was inspired to build it, by your old pomp. Looking forward to seeing your next effort

  • My ridiculous build

  • XL. Fork is a Soma/Tange. Quite like how it turned out.

  • That’s very nice indeed.

  • Google hasn't given me a clear answer for this, tips for removing the cantilever posts (think I'm referring to the right bit) on a pomp? The part left sticking out of the boss once you've taken the brake off?

  • So its a case of destructive removal or not at all? Not at all it is, thanks!

  • I think they aren't always removable. Dunno if this is true for pomp

  • Pomp ones are not removable. Not on mine anyway.

  • Winter trucking!

  • Hi all! Just looking for some fork advice. Looking to replace the stock pompino fork with a fork that has some extra rake to minimize the toe overlap now that I'm running 35m tyres. Which forks are known for having a more 'reaching' rake, or does anyone have any advice? Sorry just never looked into buying forks on their own

  • More rake = less trail = more twitchy unless you're running a long stem that gives you leverage.

  • Ya I'm really looking for fork suggestions to give me more distance between the bottom bracket and end of the fork.. for the toe overlap

  • What size on your pomp? I have size M with the Kinesis DC37 carbon Disc fork as pictured a few pics up. The rake is 45, and I have a little bit toe overlap with shoesize 41 and 35c CX tire. Dont think its a problem though. If I use slicks (23-32c tires) theres is No overlap.

  • Thorn do a fork with 55 or 60 mm rake. SJS sells them
