I'm unsure why you would specify the ceramic brakes (£!) whilst keeping the standard (comfort) suspension - would seem a touch contradictory.

Look for angled socket spanners.

Dropped the 996 off this morning, noticed something about the radio reception whilst on the way there.
I use this to hold my iPhone so that I can use the sat-nav, charging the phone at the same time:
What I noticed was this - set off, radio reception was (for once) fine. Got to roughly Woking and noticed that my phone wasn't charging.
Pushed the charger deeper into the cigarette lighter socket - lightning bolt icon appeared on phone, and at exactly the same time the radio reception went to sh*t.
Experimented by pulling the cable out of the phone but leaving the charger fully in the socket - radio reception immediately better again.
Now I didn't have a chance to fully test this, but from what little time I did have (Woking to Chobham) was quite compelling.
So I may have changed the antenna amplifier and made Precision chase around the car for a fault that was actually in the phone charger - plus purchasing a replacement stereo to use whilst the Becker was "fixed".
I am feeling (potentially) a little silly at this point.
Still, c'est la vie.

How's the reception with nothing plugged into the socket at all?

This is tricky as I'm a bit wary of confirmation bias. I think it was fine before I got this charger. I use it all the time I'm in the car, and the reception going to shit seems to coincide with the time I got it.

Can we run a sweepstake on the cost to fix this?
I’m gonna say £1,385.
Closest guess wins the old broken (read: not broken) head unit.

Extra points if you somehow implied it was a fault they'd introduced at an earlier visit.

I just assumed that the Becker was on the fritz.

cheap faglighter chargers are notorious for interference and being out of spec. Do you have a decent one you can try out?

your friend is not incorrect,
Quoted for posterity.
So what is the answer.....

I expect there’s an official Porsche one available for a few hundred clams.

So what is the answer.....
- If you are dropping a car within the range of specified ride heights then using the standard drop links is fine
- If you go lower than that you'll need shorter drop-links
- Adjustable drop links are only used in extreme cases when you're trying to pre-load the ARB's, otherwise they're for bodgers
So, in short - yes, you were wrong.

If not that, then the Porsche phone should sort it I'd have thought

including the calipers which are staying black
Just going to throw charcoal out there as a colour. Doesn't show the dust as much and has a slight contrast vs black.

On the tool hunt too. I’m after a proper wheel wrench, not a little daddy one, not one of the ‘x’ shaped ones, not an extender. Long handled socket for car wheel nuts. Anyone.

New halogen bulbs fitted after giving up on the led variant. Pondered buying a dremel to enlarge the hole but decided against it and bought some premium bulbs instead.
Light went from dangerously bad to ok. Would love something better but can’t really justify £400 for a led ramp that will look shit.

I've got a socket and a 2 ft breaker bar that live in my boot. Got them from a local toolshop. Very shiny. I've only forgotten to tighten my nuts once since.

Re read what was in the reply. Start with the first line.
Also, it was on an MX5 not your car but feel free to re read what was written. Then apply it to the MX5.
You are wrong, if you don't know what you are talking then shut up. Shall I find the post on the Subaru turbos where you showed your knowledge and it is lacking.
