I have an old Powertap SL+ and the bearings (in the hub body) are getting a bit rough.
Anyone attempted replacing those? Would really like to avoid sending them off to Saris
I will most likely be taking that to a shop, for what i've read on weightweenies it's might even be a DIY job and doesn't require any fancy recalibration..
Any advice? -

LCW in Hammersmith changed the bearings in my SL+ track hub no problem.

It's probably just the NDS bearing, which is rather small and not that well protected from the elements. It's easy enough to change yourself. I've done a couple, and don't seem to have broken anything in the process.

Replace the batter(ies) maybe?

Yes, I've done a few. I probably have some bearings hanging around still you could probably use. I think I bought a pack of 10 ages ago.

You seem to have both Power and Right Power on your graphs. Do you have two power meters?
-
• #8612
wait what?! I havent done pedal based PM ever, I had a P2M in the past. Maybe my Wahoo only picked one pedal? Its dual sided Vector 3. The left right balance I can see in that link is 12%/88%.

Look at the graph and there are two purple/pink W tabs. You can hide all the other variables and see there's a difference between them. Would seem you are getting receiving both combined Power and the Right Power in your ride file. I don't know why that would distort the balance but maybe shows that something isn't setup right.
From memory, unlike P1's the left pedal is the master and takes data from the right pedal and transmits that to the head unit. The unit then can work out balance and other dynamics from there but only one pedal shows up on my Bolt, for example. What head unit are you using?

So are we saying that his 1206W is actually only half that? pussy.
-
• #8616
The opposite, his right foot alone is pumping out Forsterman watts

I'm using one too, what shows up on screen when you go into "More" under the sensor section? Battery level for one pedal?
-
• #8618
You are a gent, I am going to try everything you tell me to once I am near the bike and wahoo

Okay, I took the batteries out from both pedals for at least 30 seconds, removed them from wahoo, installed the batteries and added again. I think the data is still wonky: http://tpks.ws/njIzZ

Yeah that's still showing two distinct Power values. Do you Garmin Connect? Maybe that might have some more clues.

How do I get wahoo data into garmin?

download the fit file from TP and upload to the GC website
