Do you think it'd be the sort of thing that fails suddenly and lethally?
It can be sudden, but it doesn't have to be lethal

I want to add Mrs Howard to the title deeds of a flat that I own (no mortgage).
Is it as simple as following the instructions from .gov.uk and any reason why I would need to go down the solicitor route?
Download and fill in an application to change the register.
Fill in either a ‘transfer of whole of registered title’ form, if you’re transferring your whole property, or a ‘transfer of part of registered title’ form if you’re only transferring part of your property.
Fill in a certificate of identity for a private individual.
Find out the correct fee.
Send your documents, forms and fee to HM Land Registry.

We did this earlier in the year for a slightly different land registry matter. Our experience was that following the instructions wasn't as simple as it sounded at first, due to poor form design which is not really optimised for DIY, but it works. You might want legal advice about whether to add her name to the title, but actually doing it doesn't require a professional.

Cheers. The forms do indeed look gnarly.
Will have a poke about but having had a quick look....I might give myself an easy life and get a pro to do it for me.

Speaking of which - does the forum recommend paying a pro or going DIY? Co-op do a fixed fee service, any good?

I got a freebie with a bank account I started and it was pain free so a Co-op one would probably be the same. They kept it safe for me too.

various internets say lightweight 26" inner tubes can be used as emergency substitute for 29" wheels -
i.e. if running tubeless 29" and don't want to carry the bulk and weight of spare 29" inner tube...
any views / experience here?
-
• #88467
Get 559 wheels so you can carry that correctly sized tube and you'll be running Superlight™.

I've a friend who went from 26" to 29", and forgot to update his toolkit.
On his first ride, he discovered that 26" tubes can be made to fit 29" wheels, but it's a bloomin' faff. -

But what IS it? I see it every day and can't explain it. No roads nearby. Cameras on all 4 corners. 2 rows of 10ft chain fence with razor wire at the top. Too close to local estates for it to be a FEMA camp, not enough access for utilities company (there's a few big underground Southern Water facilities nearby). I know there are loads of old cold war bunkers on the hills around here including one just behind my house which was supposed to be manned all the time and then 'after the bombs fell' the sole person inside it was supposed to go outside and have a look so they could report the damage back to Whitehall.

Not sure what this means?
Do you think it'd be the sort of thing that fails suddenly and lethally? Bike will only be used for 10 miles at a time.
