Get someone to weld on a disc brake mount and get a disc to trackthread adapter to convert your track hub for discs.

If the season weren't already just about over in NW, maybe. Next year I'm not gonna piss about and just gonna use the cross-check, can commute on something else. All the faffing this year meant 0 cross for me.

Anyone know the sweet spot for a sscx gear? Not too spinny preferably (I have a 4 bolt mtb crankset)

It depends on conditions, what sort of riding you are doing, how hilly your routes are etc.
I seem to have settled in the low to mid 50s, in gear inches, for most of my riding, so 38x18 at Herne Hill on NYD, 38x19 at Frylands Wood at the beginning of December, which is quite a hilly course.

Currently thrashing this around through the New Forest, upgraded from the 30mm CX Comp's managed to squeeze some 33mm Maxxis Terranes in there.
Biggest problem I have faces (other than needing to gear down quite considerably for most rides) is having to use calliper brakes, these Apex's are pretty wide but I wondered if anyone had discovered anything better (short of welding on disc mounts) as I'm tempted to try and find some sscx events this year.

Do your bikes get bigger every time?
Looks super bad ass though, good job.
-
• #3936
No. Same size as my road bike this one. Maybe it is the wheels making it look small.
I need to find a way to slam stem a bit more. -
• #3937
Utterly bonkers but I love it.

Thanks. Nice meeting you yesterday.

Specialized hover bars?

No Deda Zero RHM
OR am I misunderstanding you?
-

Jaap is probably sugesting Specialized "riser" bars so you can slam and maintain stack.
He probably does not know about your canti hanger issue.

Ahh my bad, thought you wanted to get rid of the spacers but keep the same bar height. Awesome bike BTW!
-
• #3945
Thanks.
Nah I just want to loose the spacers really. A PAUL Funky Monkey is on order now. -

Yes, the Fuji did a couple of races. Front brake and fixed on your PreCursa should be great

Get a Nature Boy from the same shop. Disc or canti version and it's got the drillings for mudguards, a rack etc.
Sold em before Christmas.
