I use mine for aerobar shifting - so two ports for road shifters and two ports for aerobar shifters and one port back to the Junction B.
On my pure TT bike I just use the 3-port as I only have shifters on the extensions.

Ta.
This is for a single ring cross bike so I reckon a 3 port is all I'll need.

Assuming you're using normal Di2 STI levers and don't want to add sprint shifters or climbing buttons or whatever then you can get away with the 3-port.
-
• #2755
Or use a 3 port plus an extra jc41 junction box if you need more ports.

Just climber buttons is the plan.

Has anyone got a set of Deda Superleggera (RS) bars, what is your experience with internally routing these? Hoping to use with my new R8070 groupset.

Anybody running a Sram 1x10 setup with a force rear derailleur?
I want some gears on my SS commuter and the force 10sp stuff is pretty easy to come by. -

To answer my own question (I picked up a set of these on ebay). Internal under the tops from the shifter location, but no routing down to bar end or through the center.

Nice price on Etap Hrd Wifli on bike-components.de right now. About the same as Ultegra di2 for the full group.

Ultegra r8000 short cage di2 rear mech (SS, not gs) - it's rated to 30t cassette. What's the likelihood I can squeeze a 32t cassette in there?
-
• #2762
very likely

Any news on when the R8070 groupset will be available and prices? I've got the R785 Di2 shifters, but considering how much it will cost to get all the other bits and pieces to get the build together, I'm thinking it might be cheaper to sell these and get the R8070 groupset as a whole.

Derailler dynamo to charge di2

Depend on the derailleur hanger, I would proceed with caution.

That..is pretty damned neato.

Any advice for fitting Di2 to a CAAD12 (non disc)? Running 24mm cranks so looking forward to the BB routing.
Also toying with the bar end charger and thought about drilling the stem to clean up the front..but without drilling the frame I don't think this could achieve anything.

drilling the stem
Reaaaally wouldn't. I've done it once. Never again.
-
• #2769
What happened?!
-
• #2770
I had to have a piece of my glasses pulled out of my eye socket.
-
• #2771
I don't really need to, figure it's easier to heatshrink the rear brake outer and Di2 together and run it as normal from there.
^ouch!
-
• #2772
That's what I did with another bike with the junction box hidden inside a stem with an open front plate to make things neat.
-
• #2773
I just drilled my bars and fork:

Thinking of getting of these, I assume this has all the gubbins needed to wore everything up? As I'm going hydro with the build and have the parts for that, the shifters here are surplus to my requirement. Before I pull the trigger would anyone be interested in the shifters for a reasonable price? Or should I hold off for the R8070 groupset and sell my R785/BR805s?

I’m no help but did notice when clicking on the link that it says extra 5% off groupsets with code GR5
In case you hadn’t seen
What's the difference between the 3 and 5 port junction boxes - is that latter more to add climber buttons and the like as well as running front and rear derailluers?
