  • 2017 ended in may as far as im concerned for running, 17:50 at my local park run was the hugh point, with a 1:24 half marathon a few weeks before coming a close second, only to be ruined by a howler of a day at the London Marathon where I fell apart at 10 miles, and came in at 3:29 vs a goal of 2:59, it was briefly resruected a week later when I got the CR back on the coatal path near my parents house in port Isaac, but then I basically stopped running.

going into 2018 I challenged myself to run 100 miles in December, which has certainly improved my based, and the aim is sub 3:05 at Brighton, with another 1:24 half marathon and a 17:30 5k on the way to that. key in this is probably building mental toughness, I'm good at going fairly fast, and going long but fast and long has so far eluded me. following hal higdons advance marathon plan with some tri training in there as well as id like to qualify for the GB Age Group again, and do a 4:40 70.3 at challenge Prague in July too so need a base of swimming and running. first priority is to lose a stone and build running again!
