I once slipped cutting a Baguette and stabbed myself in the thumb, bent the tip of the knife on the bone, nicked an artery and was spraying blood a foot in the air.
A&E stitched it up, then undid it and sent me to plastics because I damaged the nerve.
On a different note, my wife's grandad had fingers of equal length after planing them off at work (was a carpenter)
Got a few hundred quid compensation and bought a new motorbike with the money.
