Let me know if you fancy doing again in the New Year. Keen to see your biek in 650B mode.
-
• #10904
I'm working on one for the new years...
-
• #10905
Thanks, I'll be off work the first week back so let's get something done
-
• #10906
If there isn't one, there needs to be one for the UK. Would love to be able to put in my postcode and choose from a range of off the road rides around me.

@facsimile downloaded your ride to check it out only to realise I was the one that created it. Glad you enjoyed it.
-
• #10908
Either I've uploaded the wrong file, you've opened the wrong file, or our routes are a coincidence.
-
• #10909
Because everyone knows that I rode it first.
FIRST.
So there.

Is there an bridleway / CX / unpaved route database?

This is the offending ride

I'm sort of ashamed to admit that I don't know how to download and follow someone else's GPX file, and I don't have a Garmin that offers route instructions. As you discovered when I took you through those ditches a few years ago.

@facsimile my mistake. It must have happened when I downloaded and uploaded.
Here's my version that keeps you off the roads a little more on the top loop.

been doing a short mtb-ride today on the slopes of Côte du Vecquee (one of the climbs from Liège-Bastogne-Liège) in the Belgian Ardennes.

I did part of the LBL ride, that valley was lovely, looks great for mtb
-
• #10916
Yes, it really is great here. I know the region well (my brother lives here) and it's one of my favourite bike regions in Belgium (for bot road and offroad cycling). There's hundreds of kilometers of dirtroads and tracks and it's easy to gain some vertical climbing meters. Yesterday I had nearly 900 m on a 23 km ride.

Pretty sure even the 200 will show a breadcrumb trail.

Ah - probably also true of Garmin Fenix 2 if I could bother to figure it out.

Tresspasser trail in British Columbia, beyond insanely steep and tech.
-
• #10920
Not enjoying it is he?
-
• #10921
No, but to be fair the trail is probably one of the steepest and techiest trails in the world, according to those who have ridden it.
This video gives some interesting perspectives on the trail's main features:

Yeah. Looks like the kind of trail that they'll make me ride when I'm in hell!

Fellas are fairly clued up.
Blind run so approaching each section with caution.
Trying to pick out choices before having a go.
Crashes are mostly just lying the bike down at slow speed.
That's kinda the best approach. Squeeling brakes though......... -

This was an epic one.
Had a hardtail cat too :)

This was and maybe still is too common a sight, used to see this a fair bit, packs of riders set off in close formation then take each other out and shut the track down.
It would appear the rider who crashes has his helmet removed by the impact from the second rider, most likely didn't do his chin strap up.

@facsimile that ride we did earlier in the year was perfect example, do you have a GPX
