  • Yes and yes.

    To be honest, the main source of improvement over other pour over methods is the better filters. Though I also like being able to make a litre and a bit in a single brew when required.

  • It's a luxury brewer. Looks and feels really nice. The main difference vs V60 is that the filter is thicker, so you'll get a cleaner, brighter cup. IMO it's a perfect match with fruity, floral African coffees.

  • Chemex is great if a few people at home/in work are drinking. I'm generally the only one drinking filter at home so prefer the Aeropress or my Hario drip pot (similar to the v60)

    You do get a nice clean cup though.

    I've got one of the Chemex with the handle which while not as aesthetically please is much nicer to use/pour than the standard Chemex.
