Yet I feel a bit more wired after fewer cups of coffee through the technivorm than more cups of coffee with french press which steeps for ages (because who really has the patience for the Hoffmann method ;))
I had a scare a moment ago when I went to make another round on the technivorm to cater to some guests over this evening. Picked up the bag of beans I opened this morning to pour into the scales/wilfa and only about 3 beans came out. Thought I'd got through 250g already - thankfully it was a 150g bag. Still, 225g from 3 runs of the machine - about 10-12 cups.
Coffee can be a fucking expensive hobby/habit. That said, as, speak of the devil, James Hoffmann told me in an interview a few years ago it's really one of the cheapest luxuries:
