I can't see the whole of my speedo in the 964 or the two end gauges in the 914, s'ok.

I was fine with it by the end of my drive home today, however that doesn't stop me wanting to see the dials.

I'll have a play with things, see what I can do with the seat cushion and so forth.

Surely a custom made bespoke seat is the only option?

it's almost like Porsche thought of this when they designed the steering wheel..

Sadly they appear to have designed the entire car around a driver who would be a maximum of 5'10", so some adaptation is required.

In (highly) positive news, my left leg is no longer forces outward in a John Wayne fashion by the steering wheel.

Maybe you have short arms? Arm extensions would have pushed your seat back and made the wheel more comfy.
