Looks like fairy shit

The blood of a unicorn will keep you alive, even if you are an inch from death, but at a terrible price. You have slain something pure and defenceless to save yourself, and you will have but a half-life, a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips. -

Not that much of a fail, the Pepsi is probably the least Diabetes causing product KFC sell. Diabetes isnโt caused by too much sugar, itโs more to do with fat.
-
• #23809
No, but over-consumption and weight gain can and a "mega jug" is the epitome of over-consumption.
-
• #23810
Yeah but youโre not going to put on much weight from drinking a litre of Pepsi. Thereโs not much fat in sugary drinks, sugar isnโt actually very bad for you. All deep routed misconceptions.
The massive fried chicken bucket you have to go with it on the other hand... -
• #23811
No, sugar in itself is not bad for you but calories in should balance calories out, the excess is stored as fat. It's the low fat option that is the red herring, it's sugar makes people fat.
-
• #23812
Hmm. Can you link a source?
I've been reading a lot recently which says the exact opposite, and I thought the new thinking was sugar bad, fat good (except trans fat and sat fat).

Yes and no. Glucose good, fructose bad.
But yeah. I donโt mean that you can eat as much sugar as you want. What I meant was the Pepsi, in comparison to deep fat fried chicken, is the better of the two. Anything in excess is bad for you -
• #23814
They're both fairly horrendous for your health.
Unsure what your point is.
-

I explained in the last comment. First of all the point is about diabetes, which isnโt caused by sugar like is widely believed. But rather excess fat, hence we got on to talking about sugar turning to fat. But it was posted as a fail because itโs diabetes support on a sugary drink, my point is thatโs the least diabetes causing product they sell. Probably. Nothing more

You literally need glucose to survive. Itโs not bad for your health.
-
• #23817
But can we not talk about diet any more :)
-
• #23818
Diet nerd!
I do see your point, but arguably anything promoting excessive consumption (a.k.a the "MegaJug") shouldn't be associated with something specifically campaigning against excessive consumption.
edit; failโme. JDRF are specifically Type 1 focussed.

I didnโt even bother looking it up!

So sugar is good for diabetics?
-
• #23821
Mmmmmmnnnnn.....chicken in crumbs and fat.
-
• #23822
You need fat to survive too.

Lol. Best post on the page.

My dadโs a 9 stone diabetic. Has been since his teens. I can confirm sugar is good for him. In moderation.
-
• #23825
Of course. Diabetics cannot produce insulin to deal with it though. With their insulin levels looked after, sugar is good for them too.
Fat is good too. Not sure what everyoneโs point is or if they misunderstood mine. Sugar is good, fat is good, either in excess is bad. But since diabetes is not caused by sugar directly but actually by being generally overweight and unhealthy, hence me saying the Pepsi is probably less diabetes causing than the rest of their products (deep fat fried chicken)
Clear?
I've heard some of them even keep cars in little houses which could otherwise shelter whole families.
