My Massi, which I thought I'd take pictures of while at my parents in France, and dare to post it here if the pron police let me.
From my uni years, in the Massif Central.
Now retired in Normandy, my dad uses it a little bit when he needs to access through fields/paths.
Basically I had a decathlon mountain bike with a decent cro-mo frame and STX rc groupset. I sold the frame and bought instead the Massi, cro-mo as well but Fuji Stout-Light (was told it was better than the decathlon stuff) with a more sloping geo, curved stays, and generally a more desirable look, with the varnished brushed steel finish... It wasn't crazy expensive but was definitely a well made frame, with really clean welds. I used to be asked if it was Ti when riding it. Forks are the original cro-mo decathlon ones, I always wanted to upgrade them for something nicer, which never happened. I found the matching Massi grips in a bike shop sale years later. One day I'll bring it back to London and try to upgrade it a bit, with a few fancy components maybe, but mostly in the hope to ride it again...

That Alpinestars TiMega is soooo good.

That looks very similar to a frame I have kicking around. Is the bb italian threaded by any chance?

Last time I've dealt with bb on that bike was probably over 15 years ago, lbs must have done it for me as I didn't have the tools, so I'm afraid I can't tell, sorry...

Christmas is a time for reminiscence, and my love for vintage MTB is strong. Gaze upon my largely unsympathetic builds, ye mighty, and weep.
The bike that got me back into mtb, couple of years after my old Cannondale was stolen. Kona Koa Race Light. Original stem, bars, seatpost and fork was nice, but everything else was cheap and nasty, so swiftly replaced. Developed a massive hole in the seat tube. RIP
Replaced with this Saracen Kili Comp. Probably had more riding time than any other bike I own. Currently half-stripped and in need of TLC :(
Kuwahara Cheetah. Absurd fun. Survived the South Downs with those semi slicks and only a front brake. Has hauled many objects. Now lives with a friend who loves it very much.
Had to tick a Stumpjumper off my "to own" list. Also passed onto a friend and living the commuter life in London
NOS Raleigh Special Products 450 MTB frame fulfilling my Reynolds 853 and touring requirements.
Orange Clockwork C-16R, with dem segmented forks, built with tasty og XTR for another friend. One of my faves
Now spend most of my time riding an Explosif, which might as well be a retrobike, except it's reliable.
Still would love to get my leg over an original Bontrager and Ritchey. Dream own would be a Fat Chance

Wicked retro stable; that RSP is a forum favourite, for sure.
What bars are on the Stumpy, @TomvanHalen?
Ah yis, when real downhillers rode 50t front rings! She’s an absolute monster, didn’t she reappear as an Olympic bmxer?
That could be straight off the cover of mbuk. Happy days
