Sorry to be late to the party on the 'black face'/Greizmann discussion, but I think the main reason that it is offensive is that black face came about with the birth of the film industry in America. It was not seen as an appropriate work place for African Americans and White Americans didn't want to see them on their screens.
I think it is a very present reminder of recent oppression as films like Birth of a Nation, employed white as black, and portrayed black as evil.
You are all entitled to think as you wish, but I certainly perceive what Griezmann did as offensive and massively unnecessary.
