I’d like to get a cheap film slr. Would an Olympus OM20 be a good option? It seems small and has an in built light meter which is what I’d like. Seen a few that are in good condition going for around 40 on the bay.
You'll find myriads of cameras like that, in that price range, from all the manufacturers.
They all "do the job" basically; image quality has more to do with the lens(es) you attach to the bodies.
If you have good lenses already you might just go buy a body you can use them with.
Like with the compact cameras it pretty much boils down to personal preference in the end. -
If you're just wanting a cheap film slr I say get something like the Olympus OM30. You can pick them up for under £50 including a lens on ebay. Something within it will die at some point but they're cheap enough to just get another body.
