  • I drove in today, 12.5 miles took 2 and a quarter hours. Would have been sketchy as on a bike, but easily less than half that time. Fuck's sake.

  • Great save at 1.11 tho :D

  • Would rep for office LOLs

  • Hnnngh.

I thought 'looser' was deliberate. Or at least 7ven could have spun it that way. :)

Oh, what a illiterate bellend I am!

    'an' :)

  • I wrapped up like Captain Scott and took it nice and easy from CR7 on my way to N16, got as far turning right onto Brixton Rd from Villa Rd, about 200m from Brixton Cycles and then hit black ice. Straight down onto my right knee, hip and elbow, completely winded and landed in the slush. Picked myself up just in time to warn another rider - he managed to scrub his speed off before he too went down. By the time I got to work it looked like I had a tennis ball in my hip pocket, closer inspection revealed a large haematoma. Yay.

Other than that, it was a great ride in. I bloody love cold, clear sunny days like that. Definitely less iron on the road today tho.

  • To change the topic this morning commute was possibly more horrid than yesterdays MTB race which was awful.

KLMTB Winter Series race? 3 hours or 1.5 hours? If it was that race, it was indeed a bit grim. I came off three times due to enthusiasm and speed exceeding skill and grip.

  • Very mild today. Still not many cyclists though.
    Remembered my trousers

  • Not cold but drizzly and a bit miserable. Drivers back to NGAF - got honked at for allowing a small child to cross the road and yelled at because a MGIF attempt was foiled by a traffic island. Took Hanley Road instead of my usual route to avoid the school run for a change; dunno what it is but that road surface always sucks the life out of the ride and I feel like I'm pushing through treacle.

  • Slow ride in. Only punched one car - stupid cunt tried to roll over on me - why you no see lights?!
Watched van and truck run multiple red lights. My brain only has capacity for one set of plates though so of course I forgot them both. Need some cameras.

  • You can have my shitvision camera if you want

I've not used it, was planning on making a freecycle thread for it at some point

  • Why is it "shit" vision?

  • Just a poor joke. The brand is kitvision

  • I see. I've got a £30 in my 'to buy' list but can't remember what brand it was - it was mentioned in the helmet cam thread.

How long does the battery last in your one?

  • Apeman, fittingly

  • You should see me at the moment. I stopped shaving and badly need a haircut. I call it my winterwhogivesafuck look.

Someone at work likened my appearance to...

  • Have never used it, so couldn’t say

  • So less unattractive than usual?

  • That's umpossible.

  • Fucking camera ran out batteries despite being plugged in to USB overnight argh.

Missed capturing epic car punch when someone decided to slo mo drive into a cycle lane and almost take out a guy on a boris bike. Besuited chap on said boris bike boxed that van like a champ.

  • I'm related to him. No, really.

  • Watch as I slide over in a low-speed icy corner mere minutes ago

All good aside from slight knee bruising. Old 25mm slick tyres not the best choice in hindsight.

  • Same. After the first spill I just said fuck it and walked. 90% ice for the whole 2 miles.

  • Luckily I was about 100m from my flat by the time I fell over and the roads were clear until then. It rained earlier which I think melted a lot of the frost. Except that patch. :(

  • Bruising from my off on the ice yesterday morning is starting to come out properly now. Stiff neck and ribs, and my hip is turning as black as the ice I hit. That's the problem when you're an old git, you just don't bounce well, you bruise easily and it takes a bastard age to recover. Still back on the bike today tho, yay.

  • Unbeknownst to me my light parted ways from the rack, mount and all on the way in. If by the slimmest of chances anyone finds a Cateye Volt800 between West Norwood and Barbican I'd be endlessly grateful to be reunited.
