Super late to the party with this, been taking this on some very light spins around town and Regents until I feel quilty and head home in shame.
Had to cycle to one of our sites last week and couldnt resist a ScobleBrick moment;
Suffice to say, those Tan Walls are slightly less tan right now. Really impressed with the Corsa G's in 28 super comfy and roll very nicely compated to my GP4 Seasons on the Serotta. Also big shout out to Sam at LMNH, not sure if he is on here?

In other news, Lockdown boredom has hit hard, and has given me motivation to start and finish this build. Bought the frame over a year ago on eBay on a whim (most likely alcohol related). I have zero use for this, I dont ride fixed, I don't ride track (so thats exactly why I'm here) and I think its sligghtly too small on the ST but never mind here we are.
Now we are in the "golden age of cycling" I guess I can use it for commuter pootling in the future.
Bought this exclusively for 'Dat Ass' really have a thing for the monostay fork rears. I remember Talbot did them many years back on their original frames (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

That's really nice. A lot of people seem to want the lugged steel fork but I like the Whisky personally. Does it use a standard drop brake like the steel model?
EDIT: That Bob Jackson is amazing, what size?

Build has largely been sourced from here, and looks a bit like this;
- Miche Pistard 48T Cranks / Miche BB
- Miche Primato Hubs x Anodised non-brand rims, courtesy of @tomsvoboda
- Thomson Seatpost / Ritchey saddle
- Simworks bars x Deda Stem / Cane Creek SR5 Levers
I'll be running, 48 x 17, I live up an approximate 10% incline, do I have a chance with 74 GI? I have average thighs...@Dammit, what do you think?
Think thats it....and remember its the internet so comments / trolling welcomed and encouraged.
- Miche Pistard 48T Cranks / Miche BB

I the original steel fork was included, prefer the look and weight of the Whiskey, it has a long reach Grand Cru calipers, allows for a 32c tyre.
BJ is ST - CC - 550mm x TT - CC - 560mm

Remember seeing that on ebay! Nice bike. I think I might have actually put a bid in. Good to see it’s being built now.
-
• #244
Cheers, I won't go down the standard drop/long reach rabbit hole.
Another question if you don't mind... Are they the SimWorks bars on the Bob already? Model number? They have a nice flat section in the drops similar to Neo Classics but a more progressive hook.
If you want trolling - BJ deserves better cranks.

@jono84 - yep they are, they are these;

Sim Works Wanderer - reminder me a touch of the old SOMA HWY Ones thay we’re popular a few years ago.
Re: Cranks. Let’s see how much use this gets, could see a ratty pair of black 75’s working quite well...

You always have a chance. How long is the incline?
-
• #247
Treat yo self and go 48x19 for 66gi
-
• #248
I used to make it up the hill everyday on 48/18, but I was rather faster in those days.
-
• #249
Hmmm. I’m quite a bit heavier too, and slower. This could be interesting...
-
• #250
I was ~78 kg in those days.
Ding Dong!!
