Coventry is tall rather than wide. It’s actually half interesting.

isn't that the memorial to cyclists killed in the war (or very close to)?

The difference between the Woolwich and Eltham ones are enough to make me drive out my way.
One is calm, spacious and quiet. The other is like trying to shop with your head inside a bag of seagulls.
But yes, they both still sell super cheap bratwurst.

Yes - 2 monuments both on the Green .

An IKEA in Woolwich and Eltham !
Let me guess - the bag of seagulls is the Woolwich Lidl ?
-
• #50332
Woolwich is like shopping in Harrods. I once saw a Dad leave his child asleep on the floor of Eltham Lidl while he got on with doing his weekly shop.

Yes - 2 monuments both on the Green
An annual cyclists memorial service takes place still:

Traditional centre not real centre. OS named a farm in Leicestershire as the centre, caused a bit of a kerfuffle on the West Midlands bbc news telly show. Nick Owen frowned when he read the story out.

Something going down in NYC - sounds unpleasant. Explosion at bus station.

Just west of Times Square.

Sounds a bit like an own goal perhaps.

4 injured but not thought to be serious.
No mention if the bombist is one of them or their condition. -
• #50339
Well, the feds have arrested him, so the useless fanny's gonna die in prison. None of the others seem to be particularly badly hurt.

Wtf drivers?
What happens to people when they get behind a wheel? -
• #50342
How is that even possible? 4 different cars & none stopping.
I used to think self driving cars would never work in London. Now i think the sooner the better.
It wont take much to make them better than 99% of the useless cvnts currently on the road.
RIP ped.

Very sad.
Extremely bizarre there must be more to the story...!? -

The Keaton Jones bully video went "Milkshake Duck" pretty quickly

2 HGVs and then 2 cars. My approximation would be that the first driver could see them crossing but expected them to finish crossing so didn't slow and hit them, 2nd HGV driver close enough behind the first they couldn't see and then 2 car drivers who had also committed to tailgating and shrugged the crash off as hitting whatever settled them.
This stuff makes my blood boil, it's always the most mundane insignificant reason why someone driving wouldn't just slow down or stop but instead pushed on with deadly results.
RIP thoughts are with the family and friends over the holidays, I've had family front page of the papers over Christmas following a crash and it's really grim, hope the media run some other story so they can mourn

This is really shitty. the more drivers involved the less chance of any form of justice. Can you imagine the weeks of front page new if this had been a cyclist killing a ped.
RIP

Mysterious 400m long space-thing is being scanned for radio transmissions.
I'd imagine they'd be smart enough to go radio-silent and camouflage themselves if they have the technology to get here from another solar system...

Massive coprolite. What scares me more is the space Godzilla that made it.
Coventry is Central ...
*Where is the centre of England?
A monument in Meriden, near Coventry, already marks the traditional centre of the country.*
