Great time of year to be looking too, wish I had done that and saved myself a few quid. Was it a 1.6? If not they're supposed to be even more free revving but slightly less torque.

I'll try one if there's one local but I think the extra torque will suit Mrs Hammer as she's quite lazy with the gearbox. It was a 1.8 1999 mk2 SE trim. Like this:

All the leather and wood - fancy! Not sure if torque works like this but mine unsurprisingly feels like it could do with a longer gear when travelling 80mph+ and imagine the 1.6 might be worse.
