There's your problem, plus it always varies on some calipers (pads not sitting properly, calipers not sitting straight on frame etc.)

Just use an inline adjuster for front, it'll be fine, did similar on my last synapse, Cannondale send them out with one for front derailleur

Get a front derailleur that have a cable stop on it? The R8000 for instance can be run with a full outer housing all the way to the derailleur.

44t chainring and 11-42 cassette gives almost identical low gear as 34/50 x 11-32

11-42?! This isn't a mountain bike. I've wanted another gear more times on 50/11 than at the 34/23 end. I'm not concerned about climbing, thats the one bit of cycling I'm nearly ok at. I would rather not have massive gaps between gears and have a lower gear for the top end so 52 or 53

@Dammit we can talk about this not publicly but FWIW I'd be happy to take the group only on the condition that you are "lending" it to me, not giving. If I ever was to sell the bike, you will get the money the for the group or if I no longer use the group you either have it back or take the money for it from a sale.

Jeez just take the groupset.
