Sure they are. Wiggle, Chain Reaction and all the German mailorder places.. they are just not cheap.. price including shipping will be between £20 and £25. Main advantage is you can select some colours.. :-)

I thought the bodies of the three Zero models were the same, only the axle was different.

But Wiggle are selling "stainless" bodies for £80 and "titanium" ones for £115.

Does anyone have genuine Ti pedals? Are the bowties Ti?

Incidentally, I noticed that this thread shows cro-mo as weighing 223g, whereas SP now list them as being 210g.

But the modded Ti pedals were bang on the listed 164g.

Seeing that they cost about the same now as they did seven years ago, takes the sting out of the recent price hikes (a little).

Just replaced my SP cleats after about 8 years.

Pretty good wear I'd say.

Lasted as long as the sidis they were attached to...

Does anyone have genuine Ti pedals? Are the bowties Ti?

The resin and bow ties seem to be common. I suspect the difference is solely the in-board needle bearings-- I recall statements that SP spec'd something else for the Ti given the flexibility of the axle.

Why a new body kit? Sure the axle is still good? Or maybe just in need of new needle bearings-- a lot of people do hack their pedals with new bearings.

I've done two or three pairs. Bought a box of 10 bearings off ebay. Had to modify cheap pin pliers but eventually got the nack.

Seems a lot of extra money for upgraded needle bearings.

Especially as the axle dimensions are the same, which means only the materials can be different.

I was just pricing some DIY pedals: rather than buying complete cro-mo pedals and replacing the axles, I was thinking of just buying the bodies and axles separately.

But the bodies don't include the cartridge bearings and Sigma are still selling pedals (c/w cleats) for £100, so there's nothing to be gained.

Not sure if the bodies are ever worth getting in Europe. They are, for the steel models, nearly 100 EUROs. At the same shops a whole new stainless steel pedal set including walkable cleats is 180 EUROs. When you consider that the walkable cleat sets demand 60 EUROs and new bearings cost nearly 30 EUROs (sure they can be sourced more cheaply but..)... a complete rebuild ends up costing nearly 10 EUROs more (plus labour) than a new set... and this is re-using the axle.. which probably has sufficient wear should the body really be in need of replacement..

Have accidentally unclipped a couple times on Zeros with new cleats. Pedals are in good condition.
Is this normal? Heading away from lights usually.

No. Sure your foot is not too rotated by learned overcompenstation from using worn cleats? Or.. Perhaps the new cleats distorted-- using the wrong adapter plate (things changed to V2 so check to make sure that you have the right bits for your shoes).

Feet definitely not rotated but I’m still not used to the non return float thing. Cleats are set to release quite far heal out though so not sure how I could do that under normal circumstances

I'm after a right side keep on kover if anyone has one spare.

Alternatively if anyone needs the left, I can buy a new set.

On second thoughts I need to order some new cleats soon so I will give their aero covers a go..

I broke another C-spring on Sunday. I will run out of RHS cleats to take apart soon and will have to pay their exorbitant cleat prices...

I've got a set of aftermarket zero ti axles if anyone wants them. They have been used and one of the allen key inserts is rounded but I managed to get them on and off a bike ok (no spanner flats though).

Free to a good home, just chuck us a couple of quid to cover the postage!

have they stopped making the old flat style v2 zero cleats? left c spring snapped the other day, have replaced with old right hander for now but thought id get some new cleats for when they die and cant find them anywhere! only the new more expensive walkable ones. if theyve stopped making them anyone got a pair of the older v2 style knocking about?

Apparently only the newer aero cleats are now available.

No where in the UK stocks them or had them in stock it would seem.

shipping from US is crazy prices for a 10 dollar part and I think speedplay prevent shops from shipping there stuff overseas...
