Bollocks. A bit of luck there.

Slow torture for England today. Smith said before this series 'awwww look. Yeah no. We want to make Anderson and Broad bowl a lot of overs.'
He's doing a superb job.
Reckon we'll be ~150 behind after the first innings.

5-0 on the cards England showing no fight at all. Poor

Finally England have their dander up.

That looked absolutely plumb, ridiculous

YES WOAKESY

I hope aus don't pay the price for smith's "grind them into a paste at all costs" strategy. I would have thought that the chance to bowl at eng with a new ball under lights would have been much more appealing than trying to build a massive lead.
if eng were 4-50, with aus still to bat, it would be game over. now there is a glimmer of hope, however small.

Been excellent this first session, but we're still fucked.

Just 354 to get now. Easy.

well that performance proved me wrong about the fight left in the team, it's just a shame it has come too late.
if England dig this out it will be massive and a big blow to the Australian confidence.....but that is a long way off. Lyon to get a hatful of wickets -

This is quite the start, haha

Run rate up to 4 an over!!!

Noob cricket question. If a batsman strikes the ball and makes runs, but gets out after having already completed one or more runs - are those counted to the total or cancelled out?
-
• #5567
Completed runs are counted towards the total.
Edit - presuming you mean on a run out. Not if he skies the ball and completes a run before being caught.

How loud are the Barmy Army tonight/this morning? Great stuff.
-
• #5572
I could see myself setting a rather early alarm clock tonight...

BBC Radio producer allowing the crowd noise to really enhance the coverage.

England just about back to par; 150-3.
If England can avoid losing any further wickets, irrespective of the runs scored,
the fifth day will be very well poised for an enthralling day. -

I love the Barmy Army, all giving Ts
450 looks eminently doable. If Smith lets them.
